GLOBE Games 2005 is the environmental meeting of students and teachers from GLOBE schools, which will work in the international groups to explore a chosen area, share their experiences from students scientific measurements, start school-to-school collaboration and compete in special environmental topics in the international teams. 5 competitors and 2 teachers will represent each school. Student international teams will compete in various disciplines covering many of the GLOBE protocol areas, such as measuring water quality, working with GPS, etc. They will also cooperate in special teambuilding tasks. Part of students will work in groups with its own specialist or scientist leader, investigate the area surrounding the town and presenting their observations to all participants. One group of students will work as reporters, preparing a special edition of the GLOBE Newsletter for distribution to the participants at the closing ceremony. Teachers are invited to attend a teacher conference.

GLOBE Games 2005 will organize TEREZA, Association for Environmental Education, in close cooperation with a very active GLOBE school Gymnazium Ceska Trebova and the town Ceska Trebova from May 4th to 11th in Ceska Trebova. There will participate about 250 students and teachers from Czech Republic and 101 students and teachers from European countries . (Poland, Hungary, Slovak repub., Norway, Cyprus, Croatia, Estonia, Switzerland, Latvia, Netherland, Lebanon and other countries).

GLOBE Games 2005 will be start point for school to school cooperation for some schools and increasing cooperation for another schools. Teachers and students put together plans for next collaboration, they will plan their own special local projects.

TEREZA Association has been the National GLOBE-Coordinator in the Czech republic since 1996. It has been playing a significant role in the GLOBE activities in Europe for many years.
Since 1997 TEREZA prepares and organizes GLOBE Games in the Czech republic, every year for about 250 students and 40 teachers from 30 Czech schools. Students and teachers from European countries are very interested in GLOBE Games and participated in the last years too.
